In an exciting development for football fans and stadium-goers, Delaware North UK and Boxbar Tech have teamed up to bring auto-pouring, self-service bars to London Stadium, the home of West Ham United FC.

Following a successful trial at the end of the 2023/24 season, Boxbar’s one-of-a-kind technology returns for the 2024/25 campaign, enhancing the fan experience on match days with cutting-edge self-service beer technology.

A New Era of Self-Serve Bar Convenience

This season, Boxbar Tech is rolling out even more automated, self-service beer machines across London Stadium, giving fans a faster, more convenient way to grab a pint.

Alongside increasing service speeds, reducing queues and boosting customer satisfaction, for the new season, operators at London Stadium are making use of two standout features that make Boxbar the ideal solution for high-traffic football stadiums such as London Stadium.

  • Mobility and Portability: The units can be easily moved to different areas, allowing the venue to respond dynamically to changing crowd movements and demands.

  • All-Weather Functionality: Rain or shine, the units are built to perform in any condition without additional coverage or support structures, ensuring service can continue regardless of the unpredictable British weather.

Match Day Deployment: Flexibility in Action

The new self-service bars made their debut this season during West Ham's highly anticipated clash with Manchester City serving fan favourite lager, Birra Moretti. As fans began arriving, the units were strategically placed around the outside of the stadium where footfall was heaviest. This allowed Delaware North to cater to early crowds efficiently, easing congestion and ensuring fans could grab refreshments on their way in.

As the match kicked off, the units were moved to key locations inside the stadium to meet the rush of fans during half-time. This flexible deployment of the technology allows the venue to adjust quickly to different stages of the match, providing maximum convenience to fans while helping the stadium optimise its match day operations.

This partnership is another example of how modern technology is transforming live sports venues, delivering convenience, efficiency and a better overall experience for supporters.
